Privacy Policy

Paw Community is an AI receptionist that veterinary clinics run on their own WhatsApp number. This policy explains what data we collect from clinics, and from pet parents who message a clinic that uses our platform, and why.

If you're a veterinary clinic or solo vet using our platform

We collect your phone number (for login), your name, and details about your clinic — its name, address, hours, doctors, and branches. If you connect your clinic's WhatsApp number through Meta, we store your WhatsApp Business access credentials, encrypted, solely to send and receive messages on your behalf.

Your clinic's subscription and any top-up payments are handled entirely by Razorpay — we never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details directly.

When your patients message your clinic's WhatsApp number, we act as a data processor on your behalf — you remain responsible for your own patients' data under applicable law, in the same way you would be for any other practice management tool you use.

If you're a patient messaging a clinic that uses our platform

When you message a clinic's WhatsApp number, we store your phone number, the conversation itself, your pet's name and species if shared, and any resulting triage result, appointment, or invoice. This data is stored on behalf of, and controlled by, the clinic you're messaging — it is not shared with any other clinic, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

Symptom descriptions and any images you share are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate the triage response, and are not used for any purpose beyond that and improving fraud/abuse detection via deterministic caching.

If a clinic generates an invoice for your visit, it's made available at a private, unguessable link that only someone with that exact link can open — we don't index or list these publicly.

To request access to or deletion of your own data, contact the clinic directly — as the data processor, we act on their instructions for data belonging to their patients.

Advertising and analytics

We use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to build audiences for future ads. This includes sharing a securely hashed (not plain-text) version of your phone number with Meta when you complete a purchase, so that Meta can match it against its own users for ad targeting and measurement purposes.

We use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymized sessions and generate heatmaps, helping us understand how people use the app and where the experience could be improved. Sensitive fields — your phone number, OTP code, and delivery address — are explicitly excluded from these recordings.

We may run advertising on platforms like LinkedIn and Meta to reach veterinary clinics; any contact details you submit through an ad form are used solely to follow up about our services, and are handled per this policy.
